Solimar Systems to Showcase Rubika™ 3.0 Release at On Demand

Document Re-Engineering Technology Enhanced for ADF and Postal Processing

SAN DIEGO, CA – March 24, 2009 – Solimar Systems, Inc., a leading global provider of production printing and secure document delivery solutions, today announced plans to exhibit a new version of Rubika™ to address the document re-engineering market. Rubika 3.0, along with all of Solimar’s solution suites, will be on display during the AIIM On Demand Conference & Expo at Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Convention Center in booth #1949 from March 31-April 2, 2009.

The flexible Rubika product suite is designed to solve many problems associated with high volume transactional print and online viewing environments. Rubika modules are capable of modifying and re-engineering data streams to automate manual processes, enable postal savings, add value to documents (such as TransPromotional applications), leverage finishing equipment, and dynamically modify print data at run time.

“Rubika is an ideal solution for organizations needing a quick, effective method to re-engineer their existing documents without re-coding or re-composing applications,” said Mary Ann Rowan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Solimar Systems. “Today’s IT solutions need to run in production quickly, and use minimal technical resources. Our clients tell us Rubika meets and exceeds the demands of today’s IT solution needs.”

Rubika 3.0 enhancements include:

  • Expanded integration with document re-engineering external processes such as Automated Document Factory (ADF) workflows and postal processing
  • Added support for leveraging interactive PDF files in document re-engineering workflows (driven by user-entered PDF web form data) to control processing logic and to standardize the output files
  • Enhanced functionality for tracking files and sub-documents throughout complex processing routines, which can be used to provide useful feedback and information concerning users, accounting data, tracking details and audit trails
  • New methods to control n-up processing to reduce paper usage, printer click charges and postage costs

“Rubika leverages a highly intuitive user-interface (UI), and allows technical and non-technical users to quickly become proficient,” added Rowan. “Making workflow changes is straightforward, and does not require development resources. Again, our clients tell us this is a big differentiator compared to other products.”
