Solimar Systems Expands Product Licensing Offerings

Company adds Options for Backup, Test, and Development Use

SAN DIEGO, CA – January 19, 2004 – Solimar Systems Inc. announces the immediate availability of five additional product licensing options designed to satisfy the needs of virtually any organization. The expanded offerings allow users of Solimar products to select from a wide range of auxiliary licensing choices to supplement their normal production licenses.

In addition to providing traditional product licenses for primary production use, Solimar also offers three licensing programs intended to safeguard against unplanned interruptions and emergency situations. Solimar has also added two auxiliary licensing options for temporary development and testing needs. The five new licensing options include:

  • Backup Software License
    Second software license key designed for Disaster Recovery situations that may be used for a specified period of time.
  • Hot Backup System
    Duplicate production system, including both hardware and software, designed to quickly re-establish production on a second system.
  • Cold Backup System
    Duplicate hardware system that uses the original software license key from the primary production system to re-establish production capabilities on a second system.
  • Test Software License
    Designed for periodic development and testing purposes, the license is enabled to operate for 1,000 hours or 365 elapsed days, whichever occurs first.
  • Development Software License
    Designed for organizations with extended development and testing requirements, the license is enabled to operate for 365 elapsed days.

Solimar support plans also include advanced on-line technical support options using secure web-based desktop-sharing technology to remotely access the systems to configure software, troubleshoot issues, and install updates in real-time.
