2026 CAC -Toronto Recap

Great Ideas, Shared Success: Solimar Customers Connect at AIIM in Toronto

Open doors, lively conversations, and inspiring customer stories made Toronto a celebration of what our print and communications community can accomplish together.

When you put customers, partners, and industry experts together in a working production environment, the conversation quickly moves from “What’s possible?” to “How can we make it happen?” That energy made our Toronto gathering memorable.

On October 14, 2026, the Solimar Systems Customer Advisory Council (CAC) and User Conference brought our community together at AIIM, supported by Hansen360, RISO, and McGrewGroup. Participants from AIIM, Compu-Mail, LLC, SOGICA, and Nordis Technologies helped make it a day of generous knowledge-sharing and fresh perspectives.

As Solimar celebrates 35 years of innovation, nothing shows more clearly what drives progress than people willing to share their experience and explore possibilities together.

A Warm Welcome and Fresh Perspectives

AIIM’s Patrick Masset and David Geddes opened their doors and shared the company’s evolution into an integrated communications and fulfillment partner. Commercial printing, transactional communications, direct mail, digital engagement, and fulfillment all contribute to that vision.

McGrewGroup’s Pat McGrew connected lessons from PRINTING United 2026 to opportunities for print and mail providers. Production inkjet, workflow integration, artificial intelligence, privacy, and practical AI governance were all part of the discussion. The encouraging takeaway: pair technology with knowledgeable people and well-designed workflows, and new possibilities open up. Even the AI governance conversation pointed the same way, with clear policies, employee training, and open client communication as the foundation for confident adoption.

Seeing Automation in Action

The AIIM factory tour brought that pairing of technology and people into focus. Seeing production, finishing, and fulfillment in a working environment gave everyone a practical view of the coordination behind reliable customer communications.

AIIM’s Resonance platform strategy added context, showing how ERP integration, standardized workflows, and Solimar technologies support its document factory vision. Automation is about more than faster individual processes. The real opportunity lies in connecting information, documents, equipment, and people.

Customers Bringing Ideas to Life

Customer stories gave the day its substance. AIIM shared applications spanning complex retail fulfillment and personalized direct mail. Its Voilà campaign showed how data-driven physical communications can help win back lapsed customers, a standout example of print creating meaningful customer engagement.

Compu-Mail, LLC’s Anthony Marchioni and team shared an application developed with Hansen360. AI flags potential exposure of sensitive information in envelope windows, while Rubika creates address slip sheets to keep that information out of view. It connected a familiar production challenge with simpler envelope inventories and stronger privacy safeguards.

Expanding the Conversation

Solimar’s Mary Ann Rowan shared key near-term roadmap Chemistry platform details and highlighted benefits and use cases of ReadyPDF, Rubika, SOLfusion, SOLitrack, and Print Director Enterprise through use case examples of document optimization, automated re-engineering, production visibility, and secure document handling. The emphasis remained on what those capabilities enable for customers.

RISO’s Maggie Curry connected production printing capabilities with the workflows that support efficient operations. Highlighting the new RISO production color inkjet printers: MICRxpress and the GN. Several customer success stories were highlighted as Solimar premier North America reseller and finance partner.

Hansen Longfellow from Hansen360, Solimar’s Authorized Professional Services partner, contributed implementation experience in workflow modernization and customer communications management.

SOGICA’s Rodny Gonzalez added a perspective on secure, personalized multichannel communications.

Technical discussions and open questions let everyone compare approaches and explore how the ideas could work in their own environments. That exchange is the value of bringing customers, equipment manufacturers, software providers, and implementation specialists together.

Good Conversations Travel Well

A planned book signing became one of the day’s highlights. When the books arrived late, we simply moved the signing to the hotel before our delicious group dinner, where Nordis Technologies’ Nicole M. Miller signed copies of her bestselling book, Keys to the Men’s Room: One Woman’s Unfiltered Journey to Reclaim Inner Authority, Redefine Worth, and Build a More Equitable Future.

Both a book and a leadership framework, Nicole’s work added another dimension to the day. Its focus on authority, worth, and equity reminded us that stronger businesses depend on people and leadership as much as technology.

Dinner at JUMP kept the conversations going, and those informal connections are part of what makes the CAC experience special: relationships that last well beyond the meeting.
