Solution OverviewXIMAGE™ includes a FSL compiler and a powerful printer driver that creates Xerox FRM overlays, images, and Metacode from virtually any Windows application. These tools greatly simplify the task of maintaining and creating electronic FRM overlays for Xerox environments. Outputting standard Xerox resources, FRMs created by XIMAGE and the FSL compiler can be uploaded to Xerox Metacode printers and the Solimar® Print Director™ Enterprise (SPDE) print server. The new resources can be used for printing Xerox applications on PCL, IPDS, LPS, EPS and PostScript printers. To create new Xerox resources from Windows, simply open your document or view a PDF file and print it with XIMAGE. Updating FSL files is just as easy. Simply point the FSL compiler to your resources, open the FSL, make any changes and then hit the Compile button! User BenefitsFor XCHANGE users, XIMAGE provides a simple way to create form overlays for merging variable data. Generating standard Xerox resources, output from XIMAGE can be uploaded to SPDE and used in printing Xerox applications onto production and distributed printers. For Xerox LPS users, XIMAGE is commonly used for printing one-off applications, such as newsletters and books. Documents normally directed to desktop printers and copiers can print on Xerox LPS production printers. The form and image overlays created by XIMAGE can be merged with Metacode or LCDS variable data. The output can be formatted to support online, offline, floppy, mainframe, and SCSI SDI printer connections. In addition, XIMAGE supports color biasing in both text and graphics for use with highlight color printers. Product SpecificationsXerox Output Options
