iCONVERT™ - AFP Transforms (GET PDF)

iCONVERT is unique print server technology that can be integrated with the Solimar® Print Director™ Enterprise (SPDE) or run as a stand alone system. The system communicates with host systems and appears as IPDS devices or LUs. iCONVERT dynamically transforms AFP reports into a variety of other print languages and routes the resulting data to distributed network and production printers, archiving systems, and viewing stations. The system includes advanced job management capabilities including job parsing, file naming, and load balancing.

• Configures as SNA or TCP attached printers
• In SNA environments, data is received via:

• In TCP/IP environments, data is received via lpr, FTP, or the "brick" protocol
• Mainframe communication is through Windows NT/2000 TCP/IP stack or MS SNA
• Accepts LU1/SCS (including transparent fields), LU3/DSC and IPDS input data streams
• Converts inline resources and print data dynamically to new PDF
• Outputs to production and distributed printers supporting IPDS, PCL and PostScript
• Converts data to PDF viewable files
• Produces TIFF graphics in viewable or faxable format including:
  • Pack Bits
  • CCITT Group 3
  • Uncompressed
  • TIFF Class-F (fax) output
