Hunkeler Innovationdays, Day 3 – The Chemistry of Augmented Reality

It’s a bit like magic; it’s a bit like chemistry

Personalized Augmented Reality (AR) feels a bit like magic. How can the lady voice in the video pick up names and individual data points? We heard questions like this many times during our presentations yesterday. So we thought, we better share some of this magic with you (like all good magicians, of course, we keep the most important bits to ourselves).

What are the core ingredients

And this is the step where you’ll see it’s actually more like chemistry rather than magic; you need the right ingredients, the accurate measures and the outcome are documents with an extra layer of quality:

• Print-ready PDF file
• Markers (added post-composition)
• Rubika
• SOLitrack
• TREKK’s AR Software
• AR Content (Videos, Images, …)

One important detail to know is, the AR layer is added at the post-composition stage. There are many advantages to this approach, such as data and document security, as we don’t have to go back to the original data and the original document composition process (critical for e.g. banks, insurances, and the health sector).
