SALES ADMINISTRATOR/CLERK

Solimar Systems, a leading developer of Customer Communication Management and Delivery solutions, is currently seeking a SALES ADMINISTRATOR/CLERK to join our Sales team in San Diego. Solimar is a profitable, 29 year old, privately-held, San Diego-based software company with a worldwide customer base and exciting market opportunities. Solimar solutions provide clients visibility into their operations, track the lifecycle of jobs from receipt to multi-channel distribution, optimize and convert data and documents, manage production printing across the enterprise and integrate composition, messaging and workflow tools into a universal web dashboard. As Sales Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the sales organization and respective staff members, and interacting with management and internal staff (particularly Sales, Production, and Accounting) to insure the smooth operation of the department in a fast paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Communication with partners and customers
  • Supporting Sales team members
  • Updating price lists
  • Entering orders using established procedures and processes
  • Serving as telephone backup to receptionist as needed
  • Preparing and following-up on quotes sent to partners and customers
  • Preparing configuration diagrams
  • Monitoring expiring licensing and issuing extensions when appropriate
  • Product licensing and maintenance research and administration
  • Customer database maintenance
  • Gathering new references and verifying existing references
  • Customer calls on licensing, re-licensing and key upgrades
  • Sales reporting
  • Partner contract updates on a monthly and quarterly basis

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Solimar is a profitable, 27 year old, privately-held, San Diego-based software company with a worldwide customer base and exciting market opportunities. Solimar solutions provide clients visibility into their operations, track the lifecycle of jobs from receipt to multi-channel distribution, optimize and convert data and documents, manage production printing across the enterprise and integrate composition, messaging and workflow tools into a universal web dashboard. As a Workflow Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting the sales organization and respective staff members, and interacting with management and internal staff (particularly Sales, Production, and Accounting) to insure the smooth operation of the department in a fast paced environment. In addition, you will originate and receives sales calls to customers and provide sales support. You will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities with customers. Communication with other members of the Sales team is critical.

Technical Support Analyst (San Diego, CA)

Solimar Systems, Inc., a leading developer of Customer Communication Management and Delivery solutions, is currently seeking Technical Support Analysts to join our Technical Support team in San Diego, CA.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Learning how to configure our products and troubleshoot problems
  • Providing superior, timely, professional support to our customers and prospects via phone, email and the web
  • Promptly documenting your activities within our systems
  • Testing our products and documenting the results to assure version compatibility, isolate problems, and verify desired behaviors
  • Assisting in documenting product features and behaviors; problems, solutions and workarounds, and the computing environments in which our products are used
  • Developing a professional knowledge of the technologies with which our products work
  • Designing and creating tests for our products
  • Traveling periodically to fulfill our custom services, training or marketing initiatives
  • Communicating issues, opportunities, and desirable improvements to appropriate Solimar Systems staff

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
You must be able to document and explain experiences that demonstrate your ability to perform the above responsibilities. You must also demonstrate:

  • Effective oral and written communication skill

Support Billing & Collections Clerk (San Diego)

Solimar Systems, a leading developer of Customer Communication Management and Delivery solutions, is currently seeking a SUPPORT BILLING & COLLECTIONS CLERK to join our Accounting team in San Diego.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Generate accurate support/maintenance renewal invoices and send to customers in accordance with company policy and practices.
  • Primarily handle support and disaster recovery renewal collections. When a customer’s support is nearing expiration, contact the customer regarding payment of the support invoice, and advise customer of license and maintenance status. Respond to “expiring messages” and request passwords to be sent to customers as applicable.
  • Monitor and maintain the support status and expiration fields on all systems in Solimar’s customer management database product tables to ensure accuracy.
  • Record all actions, customer correspondence, and internal correspondence in Solimar’s customer management database and set follow-ups/tasks as outlined by management.
  • Prepare support quotes and projections as requested.
  • Report discrepancies between renewal invoices and Solimar’s customer management database product tables.
  • Maintain spreadsheets for key customers, resellers and distributors that show licensed systems and/or the status of support payments for those systems.
  • Primarily handle customer requests for W-9s, banking information and credit card payments.
  • Void and re-issue support/maintenance invoices as directed in order to maintain an accurate depiction of what invoices are outstanding and collectible.
  • Document and update procedures related to this position.
  • Handle receptionist duties as requested.
  • Undertake other duties or tasks that may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of standard business procedures for A/R departments
  • Knowledge of customer management databases
  • Basic knowledge of Solimar licensing requirements and policies

A Bachelor’s degree is not required, but an Associate’s degree or classes or experience; or equivalent combination of classes and experience in accounting, collections or receivables are required.

EXPERIENCE:
Two years of billing experience is required. Two years of customer service experience and two years of billing experience in the software or professional services industries is preferred.


SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT

Solimar Systems, Inc., a leading developer of Customer Communication Management and Delivery solutions, is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our sales team. As a Solutions Architect you will be part of a collaborative team focused on providing our customers with outstanding service and support. You will be tasked with developing an understanding of customer operations, and working with the team to identify the solutions needed to originate and close sales opportunities. You will be responsible for understanding the technologies involved in complex print environments, and using this knowledge to uncover opportunities to develop efficient and effective customer solutions. You will work closely with other Solimar Systems Sales team members to organize and manage customer sales cycles through completion, and to support and interact with management and internal staff.to bring closure to sales opportunities.

The duties and responsibilities of the Solutions Architect include:

  • Developing a thorough understanding of Solimar Systems solutions, our clients and the unique benefits our solutions provide
  • Developing solutions that drive digital print throughout a customer’s organization
  • Managing multiple projects working with internal and external teams and documenting those activities within our CRM system
  • Doing complex assessments of customer environments and presenting the findings of these studies
  • Communicating with, and presenting to, domestic and international partners and customers
  • Understanding and following sales processes
  • Analyzing customer requirements and creating appropriate workflow solution configurations and proposals
  • Attending regular sales meetings and training
  • Traveling to engage with customers and partners
  • Understanding relevant product technologies and the markets into which we sell our products

You must be able to point to past successful experiences that would demonstrate your ability to perform the above duties and responsibilities. In addition, you should have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills with strong communication skills and an outgoing temperament
  • Ten or more years of operational experience with a print service provider or in a complex inplant printing environment
  • Experience in managing multiple software technologies to deliver a robust omni-channel platform
  • Skill in architecting high availability and scalable solutions and integrating solutions across locations
  • Experience with Solimar products strongly preferred
  • Analytical thinking and acute attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve organizational goals
