XCHANGE::Metacode Module (GET PDF)

The XCHANGE::Metacode printer emulation module of the Solimar® Print Director™ Enterprise (SPDE) converts mainframe and Xerox LCDS/Metacode applications into compressed Metacode. This output is optimized to print more efficiently and enable Xerox LPS production printers to run at rated or near rated speed. This module restructures the inefficient LCDS/Metacode by reducing the number of records per page. It also reblocks Metacode data into VLR format, which is useful when using the Job Separator module to parse sub-documents in a job for remote distribution or for use with an archiving system.

XCHANGE::Metacode emulates Xerox LPS Metacode printers in online and offline modes. Data streams and resources are converted in real-time into Metacode specifically optimized for the output device.

The data conversions can reach 20,000+ pages per minute on a Pentium 800.
