These popular emulations are used to run a broad variety of output devices, from desktop to production printers, and from archiving systems to fax and e-mail servers. As an example, the PostScript output for a 5000-page line printer application of 66 lines by 132 columns with a form overlay on every page is now generated over 75% faster. Print files with fewer bytes per page can process up to 30 times faster!

In addition to refining conversion performance, Solimar has added support for printer-resident PostScript fonts and continuous tone, gray fill patterns. These features reduce file size and improve printer performance and in some cases reducing output sizes by 90%!
