Solimar Systems Releases SOLsearcher™ Enterprise v2.15
New Enhancements Streamline User Operations and Boost Productivity
SOLsearcher SAN DIEGO, CA - September 16, 2004 - Solimar Systems, Inc., a leading global provider of production printing and secure document delivery solutions, today announced the release of SOLsearcher Enterprise v2.15, providing organizations with enhanced electronic document distribution functionality. Extending the distribution of business communications worldwide, SOLsearcher Enterprise provides highly secure access to electronic documents via a Web browser.

The introduction of Web Services in SOLsearcher Enterprise v2.15 brings the product to the forefront of application interoperability technology. SOLsearcher's Web Services leverages existing HTTP facilities to exchange SOAP-based XML data between a SOLsearcher Enterprise Web Server and end user applications.

"The addition of Web Services provides our customers with the opportunity to easily create standards-based, platform-independent solutions that interface with the SOLsearcher system over an intranet or the Internet," explains Mary Ann Rowan, Solimar Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Providing our customers with the ability to quickly search, retrieve, extract and re-use indexed PDF data stored from archived documents is a powerful workflow capability."

SOLsearcher Enterprise v2.15 also includes Web Administrator, a built-in module that enables system support personnel to remotely configure and perform system management functions through a Web browser, providing greater flexibility and saving time. The Web Administrator allows systems administrators to remotely manage SOLsearcher Enterprise user accounts, configure properties and permissions associated with Document Archives, and configure security features.

"The Web Administrator is an essential capability for our users that host documents for other entities through SOLsearcher Enterprise," says Rowan. "With Web Administrator, a service bureau is able to pass user and security management transparently to its clients; and, as a result, those clients can directly manage their user's access and archive security."
