SAN DIEGO, CA - Solimar Systems, Inc. announces the immediate availability of a new feature in the Job Separator Module of the Solimar® Print/Director System NT (SP/D NT) that allows the Xerox DP65 to simulate key Subset Finishing capabilities of the 6135 and 6180 printers.
The DP65 does not fully support Subset Finishing. For DP65 users, this means that files that are set up to staple and offset multiple reports within a single job on another printer will not do so on the DP65.
The enhancement within SP/D NT allows the program to split a single PostScript document created by Solimar's XCHANGE::PostScript Emulation Module into multiple print files for the DP65. The resulting split files contain all the resources needed to print, and they can be offset and stapled with the job-level control features of the DP65 controller.
The Solimar® Print/Director System NT is a popular production print server commonly used to convert Xerox DJDE, LCDS, and Metacode applications into PCL, PostScript, IPDS, and PDF. The print server supports a broad range of printers, from desktop and workgroup printers to production printers that print at hundreds of pages per minute!
