PostScript Modules (GET PDF)The PostScript printer emulation modules of the Solimar® Print Director™ Enterprise (SPDE) enable printing PostScript applications onto production and distributed printers that support AFPDS, PostScript, Xerox Metacode, or IPDS print streams and archiving systems that support TIFF or PDF files.
PostScript::AFPDS ModuleThis output is typically used to produce output for archive systems and printer front-end systems that support AFPDS.
PostScript::IPDS ModuleSupports IPDS cut-sheet printers and two-up formatting for continuous feed printers. This module works in conjunction with the IPDS Print Controller output module. This output module provides the bi-directional communication to the IPDS printers from the Solimar print server.
PostScript::Metacode ModuleThis output can be formatted as 300 or 600 dpi and automatically directed to Xerox LPS printers via SCSI SDI, BUS/TAG, and off-line tape. Xerox LPS printers require the graphic handling option for printing images.
PostScript::PDF ModuleHigh-speed conversion of PostScript into compressed and searchable PDF files. Font embedding and compression can be customized along with the creation of PDF Thumbnails.
PostScript::PostScript ModuleRobust interpreter can "normalize" PostScript files for compatibility with any Level 2 interpreter that otherwise could not process the job by creating DSC compliant PostScript output files.
PostScript::TIFF ModuleThis module supports special DPI settings including Fax Standard 204x98, and Fax High 204x196. By nature, class F TIFF images are black and white, so color controls are not included in this module.Technical SpecificationsGeneral
